Nvidia backs Meta's Muse AI agents

Nvidia will invest 3 billion dollars in Meta's sale of new shares, the chipmaker said in a release dated the 26th of October 2026. The two companies will also widen their work on Muse, Meta's family of AI models and agents.

An AI agent is a program that can carry out tasks for a person. Meta launched its Muse agent last month, CNBC reported on the 27th of October.

What the 2 companies agreed

Nvidia said Meta will use more of its Vera Rubin chips and Vera processors, which train and run AI.

Meta will also use Nvidia's Spectrum-X and BlueField-4 parts to move data faster.

The two will look at Nvidia OpenShell, a way to run agents safely. They will also look at Nvidia Sentry, a tool that checks how agents act.

What the bosses said

"AI agents represent a new computing paradigm," said Jensen Huang, the head of Nvidia. Mark Zuckerberg, the head of Meta, said: "Muse is how we bring personal superintelligence to everyone."

Part of a bigger sale

Meta said on Monday it would raise 95 billion dollars for AI computers, CNBC reported. It plans to sell 35 billion dollars of shares first, then 60 billion dollars more over time.

AMD, another chipmaker, said it would put in 1 billion dollars, CNBC reported. Meta's own notice said Nvidia, AMD and Broadcom wanted up to 5 billion dollars of shares.

Nvidia and AMD together put in 4 billion dollars. That is about 11 percent of the first sale of 35 billion dollars.

It is about 4 percent of the full 95 billion, by our arithmetic.

What is confirmed and what is not

Nvidia's release says the investment still has to be completed. Neither company gave a price per share.
