NVIDIA ships AI factories by truck: 14 days

NVIDIA said in Berlin on the 21st of October 2026 that whole AI computer centers will come in boxes on trucks from early 2027. It says one can start work in 14 days, where today it takes about six months.

NVIDIA's DSX POD: AI factory in a box

NVIDIA will sell whole AI computer centers in big boxes that go by truck, it said on the 21st of October 2026. One can start work in as little as 14 days, from six months, NVIDIA said.

Boss Jensen Huang spoke at GTC Berlin, NVIDIA's yearly event. Every chatbot answer runs on such machines, so faster building can mean more AI tools sooner.

Below we break down the three biggest news items from Berlin

First is the box, DSX POD. It holds an AI factory, a room of computers that run AI, NVIDIA says.

Each box holds seven Vera Rubin racks, CNBC reported on the 21st of October. A rack is a tall cabinet of chips, and Vera Rubin is NVIDIA's newest chip family.

One box weighs about 28,000 kilograms

A box is the size of a shipping container and weighs about 28,000 kilograms, NVIDIA told CNBC. Wires and the water pipes that cool the chips go in at the factory, CNBC wrote.

Six firms build the boxes from early 2027, no price yet

CNBC named six builders: Foxconn, Gigabyte, Lenovo, HPE, Quanta and Pegatron. NVIDIA's release lists 17 partners and says the first boxes come in early 2027.

NVIDIA gave no price. One rack may cost over 7 million dollars, analysts told CNBC, so a box tops 49 million, by our arithmetic.

Google Cloud plans up to 960,000 of the new chips

Google Cloud, which rents out computers online, plans to run up to 960,000 Vera Rubin chips, NVIDIA's blog said on the 21st of October.

Mistral AI and NVIDIA help engineers test designs

Third, the French AI firm Mistral AI will work with NVIDIA, Mistral said on the 21st of October. The aim is to test a plane, car or chip design on a computer faster.

Huang says demand is "off the charts", but money is short

"The demand for the neoclouds is off the charts," Huang said on CNBC on the 22nd of October, Business Insider reported. Neoclouds are new firms that rent out AI computers.

He said there is "a scarcity of capital", too little money to build. "That's going to get solved," he said.

What is confirmed and what is not

NVIDIA's release confirms the 14 days. The seven racks, the truck and the weight come from CNBC.
