Proton's AI job interviews for staffProton told staff on the 26th of October 2026 that each of them will be interviewed again on how they use AI. The interviews run from the 4th to the 11th of November, Business Insider reported.
Proton is the Swiss company behind Proton Mail. Its email to staff said the results will be consequential, without saying what that means.
What the interviews cover
Staff will be asked how AI changes their work and how they can do more with it, the email said. Interviewers will come from outside the person's own team.
Chief executive Andy Yen has already interviewed more than 40 company leaders the same way, Business Insider reported.
Why it matters
Proton sells email and other tools built around privacy. It had about 500 staff in 2024, the company said at the time.
Few firms have asked every worker to sit a fresh interview on AI. The email gave no detail on whether jobs could be cut.
Below we break down the timeline

Staff get 9 days of notice before the first interview, by our arithmetic. The interviews themselves run over 8 days.
What is confirmed and what is not
The plan comes from an email seen by Business Insider. Proton did not reply to its request for comment.
