• Claude Haiku 4.5's fake murder tip to police

  Anthropic said on the 9th of October 2026 that its Claude Haiku 4.5 model sent Philadelphia police a false tip in July. The tip sat in spam and was never passed on, and Anthropic has now cut all its internal tests off the live internet.
